It's a bridged intake so it's 87 or newer. It's been ported too. Post pics of the piston T, I want to see what year it is. Is the intake side a full skirt with a window, or is there an arch? Was there a spacer under the cylinder?

You sure the cylinder is 68mm bore? That skirt on the cylinder looks pretty thick yet, could just be the pics.

rich, the cylinder was off before i got it. there wasnt a spacer in the box. ive been reading how they had long rods as well, which the spacer is needed on the 86-87 to make up the differance.


i use my mic's to measure the piston and hole. yes there is still alot of meat to the sleeve, i would say without measuring it is close to an 1/8" left, the skirt area of the sleeve is a really heavy 1/8"

rich, looking on the net i found some stuff and dont know if it will help, but


its hard to see, but it has stamped in the side of the sleeve HB9 on 1 side and 88 on the other. would this tell me its a 1988 cylinder or am i just off on a witch hunt, lol.

which is

all vins will start with TB06E
1986: 1000014-1021097
1987:8000015-8008442
1988:8100014-8109454
1989:8200001-subsequent


i have an 86, 1018934
