Do you have any other toys or hobbies outside of riding and racing? Not really, Racing sucks up a lot of time, I work full time Monday through Friday basically 8am - 5pm and usually work later than that so its normally a scramble to get my quad up to speed and everything ready for the next race.
Do you have a moment before the race to get your game face on, or do you just ride? Well, I would say it takes me longer than anyone to get ready for a race, I dont know why but just getting all my gear on and stuff usually takes me forever so Im usually hurrying around, then get to the line and I am usually singing beastie boys in my head, thats pretty much when I try to get my game face on...then when my line is up all I can think of is getting to the turn first.
Things you do to make sure race day goes as planned (during the week)? Wash the bike completely, try to nut and bolt/shake everything, usually ask Ryan a ton of dumb questions, I probably ask him 5 times before each GNCC where we are staying at! LOL I make sure I am 100% ready to roll when I get to the track, I dont know how people work on their stuff at the track...
do you practice during the week? Not normally, we are in the process of making a Motocross track and if I can I would like to practice on that throughout the week when its finished but normally I dont practice.
Whats your favorite mod that you have done to your rig? I would have to say the GT Thunder suspension for sure.
If gas prices wasnt an issue, where would you like to take your machine to race or ride? Well, thanks to our team that goes together gas really isnt too much of an issue but I would like to get all the guys together and head down to Durham town to watch Bert hit the motocross track on the V-force! The guys went down last winter and I couldnt go, I would like to make that trip sometime and just go out for fun and not be so serious and in a rush like we normally are that the GNCC races.
What would your dream machine be other than your current ride? honestly, I just want a new YFZ450 with all the goodies...I predict you will see one at the begining of next year!
I would like to say thanks to Ryan for being our pit crew at the races, he pits 3 of us with some help from the Burch Family. Also to Chester Vet Clinic for all the support along with all my sponsors. I hope to be doing this again next year!
THANK YOU CORY
